MISSIONS

We believe here at For His Glory Community Church deeply in the spread of the gospel. We want to fully come alongside those who have been called out into the mission field and support those who can go where we cannot.

These are the missionaries that we as a church currently support financially and through prayer. While not all of them are from FHG directly we want to come alongside and support those we feel are making in impact for Jesus Christ around the globe and here locally.

Brian & Renee Alex

The Alex Family serves in Europe as UWM missionaries to Italy.

There is much work to be done in this former “Cradle of Christianity”, where now less than 1% professes a genuine faith in Jesus Christ. Their goal is to see a new generation of Italians being discipled, equipped and sent as church planters into major Italian and Sicilian towns. It is currently reported that less than 1 out of 10 Italian towns and villages have any gospel witness whatsoever.

This generation is in critical need of the gospel, as Europe wavers on the brink of a second Dark Age, and the Alexes are quickly laying a foundation for long-term work from their region of Sicily. Having arrived in August of 2013, the hottest month of the year – in the hottest region of Italy, they are busy learning language, acclimating to culture, and forming strategic relationships within and without the evangelical community.

InterVarsity Christian Fellowship – Ben & Olivia Vail

InterVarsity Christian Fellowship (IVCF) is a ministry that targets the gospel on college campuses. Founded in 1941, IVCF is found on most college around the nation, engaging students and faculty with the news of Jesus Christ and the challenging them to follow Him. Ben Vail leads IVCF at Cal State Fullerton and Fullerton College, teaching big group gatherings, guiding small group inductive studies, discipling students to reach their campus, and setting the overall vision for the campus ministry. From gospel engagements in the quad, to regular gatherings in the dorm, to special outreaches to the Greek homes, God has opened a tremendous door at these colleges in Fullerton for the message of gospel to be proclaimed through IVCF.
