VISITOR

Our hope and prayer is that your visit will be a great experience. Even more than that, we pray that you will walk away sensing that your are loved by us and by the God that die for you. We hope the questions below will help you in your visit to For His Glory Community Church

When & where is your service?

Our Sunday service starts at 9:30am. We encourage you to get here a little early to settle in. We’ll have coffee brewing for you to enjoy. We are located at 2355 W. Valencia Drive in Fullerton, CA.  We meet in the sets of building behind the Seventh- Day Adventist.  As you turn in from Valencia, go straight. You can’t miss us. Look for building “B” or for our sign.

Are services provided for my children?

Yes, we have a wonderful children’s program for kids 1yrs old through 8th grade. When you get to service, there will be a check-in table for your children. All kids age 1 to 2 years old will have the opportunity to go to their class 15 minutes before service. All other children will attend the first part of family worship with you and then be dismissed to their class. At the end of service, you will go to your children’s classes and pick them up.

What about my newborn?

For mother’s of infants, you are welcomed to bring them into service with you. If your infant starts to get restless, we invite you to enjoy our mother’s corner out in the lobby. There you can rock your infant, put your infant in a baby swing, watch the sermon on a TV, and have a little area for yourself. This corner is stocked with tissues, wipes, hand sanitizer, receiving blanket, lotion, a water bottle, etc.

What does your typical service look like?

Our Sunday services have three main components: worship, prayer and the word of God. We typically open up the service with a few songs for the whole congregation (adults and children) to worship to. We refer to this as our “family” worship time. It is our opportunity to allow kids to know God in the context of the adults in the church. After this time of worship, we dismiss the kids and allow for a short time of coffee and fellowship. At this point we make announcements and then jump into the morning’s bible study time. Typically we study through a book of the bible in sequential weeks, taking breaks for short topical series. After the bible study we have an extended period of worship that allows you to pray through, digest, and sometimes wrestle with the things you heard in the sermon with God. During this time, we serve communion and the elders and leaders are available for you to pray with. From time to time, we will also pray over people and situations corporately as a congregation.

What about the sacraments of communion and baptism?

We offer communion every week during our worship time. Baptisms take place from time to time as the need for believers to be baptized arises.

How should I dress?

Dress code is casual. Jeans and shorts are the norm. Dress shirt and tie is rarely spotted at FHG, but don’t let that hinder you if that’s what you are comfortable in.
